Less is More #365 Dry Emboss Challenge

simplylessismoore.blogspot.co.uk

Today I have made a card for the Less is More card challenge.  I am to use dry embossing on my card, but not too much as less is more!

I love the Magical Mermaid stamp set and wanted to combine it with an emboss die from the Oh SO Eclectic die set.

The inside of my card.

I started with some watercolour paper cut to my card size, then I smooched some Bermuda Bay and Lemon Lime Twist refill ink onto roughly where I wanted it!  When that was dry I embossed the leaves around my card.

Looks like a die for cutting but it's actually for embossing.

Then all I had left to do was stamp the mermaid, add a sentiment and stick a few sequins on.

Hope you like my girly birthday card.

Ink and Share Blog Hop

Image may contain: text

Welcome to the first Ink and Share monthly blog hop.  We are a group of Independent Stampin' Up Demonstrators from around the world.  We aim to inspire you with some of our work.
My names Linda and I live in the UK on a small island in Essex.

This month we are working from the Sale-a-bration Catalogue.

My main item was the Heartfelt Blooms stamp set, but I also used the Celebrate You Thinlits and the Shimmer Ribbon both from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue.

I love the beautiful flower stamp in this set, I immediately wanted to make my own DSP with it and thought a box was the way to go.

I made a very simple box using Thick whisper white for the lid and Dapper Denim for the base, I also used Dapper Denim ink to stamp my flowers.

I wanted the Thank You cards to be the same but decided to use different blue's on each card.  I was brave and cut my Thank You sentiment but you can mask the 'you' off before inking if you don't like cutting your stamps.

Don't forget to pretty up your envelopes, I like to match my cards to my envelopes when possible.

Hope you liked my project, now please hop along to see Phoebe Borromeo-Carr's amazing work.   Thanks for dropping by.

2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop February

No automatic alt text available.

Welcome to the February 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop, we are a group of Independent Stampin Up Demonstrators.  We are hoping to inspire you to create.  There are some super talented people on this blog hop, be sure to visit them all.

This month we are making projects using items from Sale-a-Bration, there are lots to chose from, I love the cute Party Panda's so easy choice for me.

What better use for a Party Panda than a party invite!  Once the invite was finished I had to keep crafting and made a pretty party bag, name setting and simple straw.  I used Berry Burst as my main colour with a touch of Blushing Bride and Whisper White.

The blossom and branch were cut using the Seasonal Layer dies, I stamped my pandas in Basic Black then covered them in clear embossing powder to give them a lovely shine.  Yes I had to fussy cut some of my pandas but worth the effort.

How cute is this panda swinging in the blossom

Thanks for joining me on our blog hop, don't forget to check out the lovely crafters below
